Curious Little Troublemakers

Beagles are fun and curious too, we started with one but ended with two.


One boy and one girl, they sniff and they play.


And they look for trouble... basically all day.



The Adventures of LB and Lila is a series of books based on my two miniature beagles. The series will begin with board books to introduce little-ones to animals, a few of their fun experiences and (presuming a talented artist captures the essence of our crazy little dogs) the viewing will be a lot of fun too.

I envision expanding the series to interest the pre-school/early-elementary market. I hope you enjoy the pictures of our little friends, if you're in publishing and find the prospect interesting please don't hesitate to contact me.

Lila - Play, love me, play, love me

Hi, I'm Lila (lee-la) and I'm three years old. My parents adopted me when I was just 6 weeks old, wasn't I cute little plumpy puppy, and I since I was so little I don't like being left alone even now.

I get super excited when people visit, or I pick up a scent, or we go for a car ride, or go for a walk or pretty much anything and I squeak when I get excited.

I love to chase the ball and I'm athletic, I'm built for speed - very different shape than where I started - and I can jump and catch and flip over with the best of them.

I've got a good little sniffer but I also have a little ADD so I'll pick up a scent and then get distracted. I always want to be with people and I love dog packs too. I'm Lila and I love - love.

LB - Sniffer extradinaire

Hello friends, I'm LB. I'm the sweet, gentle little doogy that loves to sniff and follow my nose. Anywhere. Pretty much the only thing my parents can do to get my attention when I've found a scent is to say, "Are you hungry?" or "Do you want a treat?"

While other pups play and tussle about I'm much more content to use my snout. I rarely chase the ball or wrestle around but when I do play I like to take the ball and run and hide - tee hee.

I'm a bit more portly than Lila and while I love being loved too it's on my terms - when I want to be pet I pout and drop my ears and work my puppy dog eyes until somebody cuddles up to me.

I think it's nice outside but I'm a pampered pooch, I like lounging inside and laying in the sun - coming through the windows that is - although I'll go outside to sniff and occasionally howl at passersby. Every chance I get I'll find a cozy spot, especially on the couch or the bed, or better yet, on a pillow on a bed. Everybody loves dogs but EVERYONE loves me;)
